Room had amazing river view and balcony. It was super spacious with great lighting, comfy bed and armchairs, bath and shower were great and they were super easy to use (some places can feel like you need a manual to figure out how they operate!), plugs by bedside, everything was really clean, lovely kettle and tea coffee facilities, comfy robes and slippers, handwritten welcoming card. Staff were super friendly, check in was a breeze and they kindly kept our bags in storage before we checked in. We treated ourselves to room service and it came so quickly and presentation was at a fine dining level. Breakfast had a great offering with hot and cold options including bread from a local bakery and gluten free offerings including cereal. The location of the place is super central, only a short walk to train and bus station and less than 100m away is the local bus stop. They also have parking if you are driving. Honestly we were blown away by the experience of the stay and wished we were staying longer.

We got a balcony room, which was great for watching the mute swans on the river below. No street noise made it up to the third floor. Room was spacious and clean. Really appreciated the hotel working with my asthma and fragrance/chemical allergies - no issues at all. Have to give a shout-out to the young lady on the front desk who went out of her way to get my pants to the cleaners (mud from Downpatrick Head hike) and back to me the next morning. Parking is in the underground garage - you need to have a small vehicle to fit down there. It was secure and easy to get in and out. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was good, as was the restaurant. Ate one night at The Kitchen - dinner was excellent, dessert was a disappointment - premade tarts that were obviously not made on site. There was a bus tour group while we were there, but it still didn't make you feel crowded. Would definitely stay here again.

The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. The girl who served us dinner was really kind and went out of her way to find out what dishes I could eat as a coeliac. I really appreciated her help. The room was lovely, bed comfortable and it was spotless. The only tiny issue was an insistent hum that started in the room just after 6am. When we turned off the air conditioning it stopped so it must have been that. After dinner we went up to the bar, it was lovely and atmospheric with a beautiful view out over the river. Our room had a little balcony where you could sit outside and watch the swans on the river. I'd definitely recommend The Glasshouse for a great night away.
